The Francis Hotel

“This hotel is a wonderful experience if you are looking to book a great place for a great price! I stayed here two nights - the first I booked on the spot after realizing I had mixed up dates and didn’t have a room booked for night one and the second I booked after returning back to the Francis when my new hotel was less than expected. Both experiences were met with patience and kindness. The check in experience is personalized and includes breakfast vouchers and a glass of wine! The rooms and hotel are historic and have wonderful charming touches! I will recommend this experience to anyone coming through Portland!”

“This hotel is a hidden little gem. I would give them more stars if I could. We stayed with our dog (YES, they are very dog friendly) for 3 nights. They had a dog bed, treats and bowls in our room. And even gave us suggestions on walkable parks for dog walking, as well as pet friendly restaurants. We never used our car; Portland is very walkable. Great restaurants nearby. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Will be our go-to hotel when visiting Portland.”

“I would give them more stars if I could! I have stayed here twice now and it keeps getting better! it is the perfect mix of historic house charm with boutique hotel! My most recent stay was part of my wedding weekend in Portland, my family and friends all stayed at the hotel as well. Everybody had such a good time and we’re so thankful for the amazing staff at The Francis. The staff went above and beyond! They were so welcoming and personable and made us feel at home. As it was all friends and family staying there I got to visit inside many of the rooms. They were all beautiful, clean and well decorated! We slept on our bed for six nights and had amazing sleep, a very comfortable mattress! All the small touches they add are really special. If you are considering using the Francis or the Longfellow for an event you’ll get the pleasure of working with Jackie who is a 10/10 human and made our whole experience easy, fun and stress free! The location is fantastic, near tons of great restaurants. They are right across the street from the legendary Tandem bakery and their sister hotel the Longfellow -we had breakfast at the twin flower Café in the Longfellow and the food was fantastic. We won’t stay anywhere else in Portland!!”
